Data protection
The data controllers are Coface UK, and other companies within the Coface UK Group namely - Coface UK Services Limited and Coface Receivables Finance Limited, all of Egale 1, 80 St.Albans Road, Watford, Herts WD17 1RP, hereinafter referred to as 'The Group'. In compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998, when 'The Group' are provided with personal data, we will hold the data, together with other information, securely and confidentially and process it for the purpose of carrying out our activities. These activities are administration, marketing and prospecting, accounts and records, debt management, credit insurance, credit assessment, research and legal services. We may need to share the data with other companies within the Coface Group or responsible third parties within or outside the European Economic Area (EEA). If you provide data on another individual within your business, you confirm that you have the consent of that individual to forward the data to us and we will process the data as above. 'The Group' will process the data about buyers, debtors and debts in accordance with the data protection policy stipulated by the client, which remains the data controller of those data. The client will make its data protection policy clearly known and available to 'The Group' to abide by. Where no data protection policy is made known to 'The Group' it shall not be liable for any breach under the client's data protection policy. Furthermore you agree to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 and to process all personal data in accordance with that Act. 'The Group, or another company within the Coface Group or responsible third parties associated with our business, may keep your information for a reasonable period for the on-going pursuance of our business activities as stated above. We may also use the data you provide to contact you by mail, telephone, fax or email with information about our other products and services. The personal data you provide via the Coface website will be used by Marsh Limited to contact you, by email and/or telephone, about the trade credit risk insurance offered by Coface via this site. If you do not want to be contacted by us either during or after our business relationship with you, please tick the relevant box in the 'Other information' section on the online enquiry form, but remember that this will preclude you from receiving details of any of our offers. By completing and returning any forms to us from this site you consent to us processing your personal data for the above purposes. You also consent to us transferring your information to countries outside the EEA. If we do make such a transfer we will ensure your information is protected.
